Me and my kids love this place! I've been going here for years. My favorite: macaroni cheese, fried plantain, goat meat, okra stew and jollof rice!
My family came here for lunch. My wife liked the stewed greens, my youngest son liked the mac&cheese and ox tail. My daughter loved the stewed greens and fufu and I loved the jollof rice. The ox tail was tender and flavorful and sweet. The jollof was well seasoned with a hint of spicy heat. The strawberry lemonade was also a favorite. Everyone found something they loved and had never had before. Smiling faces and warm greetings fill this space. The market is also full of flavor and uncommon items. A great place to try if you've never had food like this before. The Sampler was the way to go for all of us to mix and match. The kids were also invited to share a prayer on their prayer wall. I dare you to eat here and not leave smiling and happier for it.
The best African food ever, I love the fact the owner remembers her customers and always has a beautiful smile on her face. I eat here once or twice a week I love her egusi soup and fufu yam.
They never disappoint. Food is delicious. My favorite is red chicken, jasmine rice and tomato stew. And my daughter gets african Mac and cheese. Definitely takes time but made with love!!
Delicious and healthy curry hen with efforio! It was amazing to have with fufu and my peach apple drink. The best food I've had in Shreveport during my couple of weeks here! The girl at the front turned on some music to liven up the place when I was there. Well worth the money, and I'm definitely going back one last time before I go home!
This was my first time trying African cuisine but I've always wanted to try fufu. So I decided to give this place a try today and I was not disappointed. The food was well seasoned and tasty, and they are very generous with portion sizes. I had the curry chicken, stewed greens, fufu, and african Mac n cheese. Everything was very flavorful and cooked fresh to order, so there was a bit of a wait time. They have a little grocery area inside as well that has hard to find items such as Yams/Cassava, dehydrated plantains, and unique drinks. I would definitely try them again and taste other items on the menu.
Cuisine. Jollof rice and steak were delicious. Zobo (Surrel) drink was exquisite. Very authentic west African dish. Eat here.
